The Threadquarters studio will be open to the public for fabric, pattern & haberdashery shopping on these days. You do NOT have to book a table to come to the open day. Please feel free to call in at any time between 10am – 5pm to browse the shop.
If you HAVE booked a table, please be aware that there will/may be people popping in throughout the day to look at and purchase fabric.
a Sewing day!
Book a table & come and sew in the gorgeous Threadquarters studio! There will be morning & afternoon sessions available to book, and you are very welcome to book a full day.
Morning sessions are for 10am – 1pm
Afternoon sessions are for 2pm – 5pm
Bookings are mainly to make sure there will be a workspace available for you. If you book the morning sessions & there is space in the afternoon you are very welcome to stay on if you like! I won’t be chasing you out! However, if the table has been booked for the afternoon, I will be very grateful if you could tidy up your space in preparation for their arrival and leave in a timely manner, thank you.
Please note: this isn’t a sewing lesson and no tuition will be given. If you have any questions on your project I will, of course, try and help, and there will be other sewing folk there who also might be able to assist.
If you are new to sewing then I recommend coming along to one of the Sewing Taster Workshops.
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
- Use of a sewing machine (if not bringing your own)
- Lots of space to work on your sewing project (each table is 160cm x 80cm so lots of room for cutting out if you need to)
- Ironing stations will be set up (1 per 2 people)
- Use of dressmaking scissors & other sewing tools if you forget your own.
- There will be access to an overlocker if needed too.
- Tea & Coffee, biscuits & cake!
YOU WILL NEED TO BRING:
- Your sewing project & sewing kit
- Your own sewing machine if you wish
- If you are staying for morning & afternoon slots then you might like to bring a packed lunch, or you can pop out to one of the local cafes for your lunch instead. There is a small fridge you can keep your lunch in & a microwave and kettle you are welcome to use.
