How much is postage?
Please see the Delivery and Returns page for full information for both UK and International shipping options.
is threadquarters a ‘bricks-and-mortar’ shop?
No. Although I now have a beautiful studio to run my sewing classes in, the fabric shop is still an e-commerce business. As such, I do not have set opening days & times. However I am very happy for you to contact me to arrange a visit if you’d like to pop in and say hi!
local fabric collection
If you are local to Bangor N.I. you may opt for Local Pick-up and avail of free shipping.
As Threadquarters is primarily an e-commerce fabric shop I do not have set opening times. Once your fabric is cut and ready for collection I will contact you to arrange a collection day & time that suits you.
Can I order a sample?
Yes! You are welcome to order samples/swatches of most fabric on the website. You can order them HERE.
Unfortunately it is not possible to order samples of deadstock fabrics.
What is ‘deadstock’?
All the fabric currently stocked at Threadquarters is deadstock fabric. These fabrics have been specifically manufactured for well known high street and designer brands (think Next, Marks and Spencers and Barbour!) but for various reasons have not been required.
How much do I enter in the ‘quantity’ box when ordering fabric?
All fabric is sold by the HALF metre (0.5m). If you would like 1m of fabric then please enter ‘2’ in the quantity box. For 1.5m you would enter ‘3’ etc.
All fabric is sold in a continuous length.
Will you get any more of that colour/pattern in again?
Unfortunately I cannot guarantee that I will. Again, all the fabrics are ‘headstock’ and of very limited supply. However, ff you really are keen on getting your hands on a particular fabric that you might have missed out on, please do contact me on hello@threadquarters.co.uk and I will certainly try my best to get some more.
Can I have my waxed cotton order packed in a roll rather than folded?
I have tried to find an affordable way to offer this, but due to the width of the fabric (160cm) it makes it very costly.
If you live in Northern Ireland or Ireland and are happy to travel to Bangor then you can select the ‘local pick-up’ postage option and I can pass on your order rolled rather than folded.
If you need it posted and REALLY want it rolled then please email me ( hello@threadquarters.co.uk) and I can give you a quote for shipping.
