The Thayer Jacket is a workwear inspired jacket that will take you from fall to winter with ease. It features a slight A-line shape, roomy patch pockets and inseam yoke pockets, two-piece sleeves, and is fully lined for plenty of warmth. Front princess seams ensure a great fit.

Techniques involved include sewing straight and curved seams, setting sleeves flat, bagging a jacket lining, topstitching, inserting buttonholes, and sewing on buttons.

Suggested Fabrics
Main Fabric Medium to heavy weight woven fabrics such as denim, twill, corduroy, or canvas. Extra fabric may be needed to match plaids, stripes, and directional prints.

Body Lining Warm medium to heavy weight fabrics such as cotton shearling or flannel.

Sleeve Lining Woven quilted lining fabrics.

Interfacing Light to medium weight woven fusible interfacing.
