Are you interested in learning to sew but not sure if it’s for you? Would you like to give sewing a try without purchasing a machine? Or maybe you have a sewing machine, but don’t know where to start!
Join us for this 3 hour sewing taster workshop where you will learn the basics of setting up and using a sewing machine and you will sew up a gorgeous tote bag.
All fabric, tools and machines are provided so you won’t have to bring anything to the class.

I really loved the starter class. I had bought a new sewing machine about 5 years ago but we never really bonded and there it sat in its box unloved. Well since attending Suzanna’s half day course. I learned to love again. The class with Suzanna’s tuition and knowledge gave me the confidence and skills to get back to sewing my favourites, home furnishings. Thanks Suzanna, in the words of Arnie, I’ll be back. I might even try the basic dress making course.

I attended the beginner’s Introduction to sewing workshop, along with the sewing machine I had never used, in the hope that it would give me the confidence to start using it. The workshop was fantastic – professional, friendly and small enough for a lot of individual attention. Lots of practical advice and lots of practice – I’m all set. Highly recommended!

Today I attended the Taster workshop, Suzanna was a great Tutor and walked us through the fundamentals of The sewing machine and covered the basics needed to get comfortable and started Sewing. I found it really helpful and great fun, it was such a relaxed environment and picked up a few tips to get started sewing some small projects. I will definitely be signing up for some other courses in the new year.

Last Saturday I attended my first ever sewing taster class (recommended by @avrilkeysblog -thank you!). I had recently bought a sewing machine but had never taken it out of the box and didn’t know where to start so I thought this was a perfect way to learn. It was such a fun and relaxed class and I learnt so much. Suzanna was so informative and I couldn’t believe I actually made a super stylish tote bag by the end of the class. Yes, I got tangled up and jammed my machine but Suzy patiently showed me how to fix these problems. I now will be able to use my new sewing machine with confidence and I recommend anyone who’s thinking of trying these classes to just go for it. Many thanks to teaching me a new skill. Johanna x
