Hi! I’m Suzie and I’m mad about dressmaking.
I started sewing properly back in 2009 when my parents bought me a sewing machine for my 29th birthday. From the moment I sewed my first line of stitching I was hooked! I started out small, making a straight skirt and various types of bags, but I soon discovered the joys of dressmaking and I haven’t looked back – I even made a dress for my Wedding Reception.
Threadquarters is my space to share my latest sewing adventures. As well as blogging about my sewing, I also regularly upload videos to my YouTube channel, including lots of sewalongs and tutorials. My other main place to share and chat about sewing, is on Instagram. I hope you can check out my various profiles and subscribe or follow along.
I’ve had various incarnations on the internet, initially blogging at Su Sews So So, then Sea Salt and Stitches and now Threadquarters. Each has signified a new stage in my life, both personally and as part of my sewing journey. I’m looking forward to start sharing my latest sewing adventures on Threadquarters, I have a lot of exciting plans.
